The Tea Duchess’ notes
- Blueberry Lavender Compote – This recipe calls for my blueberry lavender compote recipe, but you’re more than welcome to drop the lavender if you’d prefer even though the aromatic flavors of lavender go *so* *so* well with the blueberry and matcha. You can also opt for store bought blueberry compote or syrup if that’s easier. However, with that you won’t be able to control the amount of sugar or ingredients found in each.
- Ceremonial Matcha Taste – Ceremonial matcha can be strong and a little bitter for some, even when mixed with milk. Feel free to swap the ceremonial matcha out for cooking grade matcha, or add sweetener to your matcha powder when whisking it.
Related questions
Can I drink this matcha latte warm?
- Yes you can! However, keep in mind that the colors from each ingredient will bleed into each other much faster due to diffusion.
Does this blueberry matcha latte recipe have caffeine?
- Matcha naturally contains caffeine, so if you’re caffeine sensitive this might be something to be aware of. However, you should be fine drinking it in small amounts like in this recipe.
What other fruits go well with matcha?
- Blueberries go great with matcha, but raspberries, strawberries, oranges, and coconut (if you count that as a fruit) are some of my favourite fruits to pair with matcha.
